The Lebanon Boys Varsity Soccer Team (4-5-1, 3-1) traveled to Tri-West Tuesday for a crucial conference game and walked away with a loss that leaves them needing to win out their remaining conference matches to win conference. The Tigers came in blazing on the offensive end with consistent opportunities on goal, but sputtered to a single goal evening - allowing the Bruins to withstand the onslaught and capitalize on late game mishaps to draw the game and force it into overtime. Following a slow start to the first overtime period, Tri-West jumped onto the board to go up 2-1 and then capitalized on another mishap shortly thereafter to put the game away for good, 1-3. The Tigers leave the key conference game reeling from the missed opportunity, but eagerly return to the conference campaign at North Montgomery on Wednesday before the deciding match up at current conference leaders Danville next Monday. The Tigers close out their conference games hosting Southmont on Tuesday, October 1 while celebrating Senior Night.
