The Tigers XC teams raced at the Northview Church in the Zionsville John Cleland Early Bird 4K Invite. This Invite runs and scores by class (with needing 5 to score) against some outstanding competition from throughout the State. Our Freshman/Sophomore Lady Tigers were the only class/race that had at least 5 runners to score. The Freshman/Sophomore boys’ and the Junior/Senior girls’ and boys’ teams ran as individuals. The first race was the Fr/So girls. There were 242 runners competing and leading the way with a top 40 finish to receive a ribbon was Sophie Kyker (31st), followed by Alexis Lahrman (41st), Abbi Riggs (47th), Izzy Metheny (93rd), Claire Larson (109th), Averee Maciel (113th), Haley Tiefel (125th), Leah Ziats (149th), Amellia Spencer (152nd), Hayleigh Coyle (173rd), and Hadley Warren 190th). This class/group ran a great race to have a strong finish to place 7th out of 15 teams. The Fr/So boys were up next and had 349 runners competing. We had three athletes' step on the line that are new to XC and running their first race. Jesse Acton was your leader in 142nd, Followed by Jovani Suarez (192nd) and Philip Kiper (207th). The third race was the Jr/Sr grade girls. This race had 177 competing and leading the pack with a top 10 finish to medal was Penny Lamerson in 6th place. Following was Soteria Udu (115th), Charlotte Kleindl (122nd), and Marli McConnell (132nd). The Jr/Sr boys had the final race of the morning and had 272 competing. Senior Tyler Meyer led the way in 52nd. Followed by the pack of teammates Brynner Sloan (119th), Levi Pittman (122nd), and Isaac Harvey (123rd).
