New Prairie jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Sully Kress drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Gio Naccarato singled, scoring two runs. Kress earned the win for New Prairie. The starter allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out five and walking three. Braxton Maxfield and Joey Kirk each collected two hits for La Porte Varsity Slicers. Kirk went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
