The hurler went five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out six and walking four. Benedict went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Joey Kirk went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead La Porte Varsity Slicers in hits. Figg went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. O’Bryan led Lake Central with two hits in four at bats. Lake Central had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Victor Villegas and Parker Robinson led the team with two walks each. Lake Central turned one double play in the game. La Porte Varsity Slicers will travel to Goshen for their next game on Saturday.
