La Porte Varsity Slicers couldn't keep up with Crown Point and fell 13-1 on Tuesday. Crown Point got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jase Horton singled down the right field line, La Porte Varsity Slicers committed an error, and Jaxtyn Alexander hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Crown Point extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI walks by Sean Dunlap and Horton. Crown Point scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Alexander singled, scoring one run, Linus Chariton singled, scoring one run, Brody Langhans singled, scoring two runs, and Dunlap singled, scoring one run. Logan Cotton earned the win for Crown Point. The hurler gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking one. Cody Ryden took the loss for La Porte Varsity Slicers. The hurler went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs (one earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking two. Gage Raymond led La Porte Varsity Slicers with one run batted in. Ayden Langager, Brody White, and Cody Benedict each collected one hit for La Porte Varsity Slicers. La Porte Varsity Slicers turned two double plays in the game. Crown Point accumulated 15 hits in the game. Crown Point's Mick Vagner, the number eight hitter, led Crown Point with three hits in four at bats. Langhans, Alexander, Dunlap, and Horton each drove in two runs for Crown Point. Noah Ehrlich and Chariton each collected multiple hits for Crown Point. Horton paced Crown Point with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Caden Matusak stole two bases. Crown Point ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Crown Point turned one double play in the game.
