The Slicer Girls Cross Country team qualified for the New Prairie Regional on Saturday. The girls finished 16th of 25 teams. Coming into the meet, the Slicers were projected to finish 17th. The top 5 teams move on to the state competition in Terre Haute. Although the team did not qualify for state, both Faith Spain and Caitlyn Carnes qualified individually. Spain was 10th and Caitlyn finished in 23rd place in the field of 240 runners. The top 15 individuals, without a team qualifying, move on to Terre Haute.
