On Thursday, October 24th, the Slicer Student Athletic Council put on their annual Trick or Treat Night for Special Olympics. As a part of the IHSAA Champions Together program, athletic councils must design a philanthropic event that raises over $1,500 for Special Olympics. This event is one that everyone looks forward to, as many LPHS students dress up in costumes and make sure the children have a great time. The 14 council members organized this event from start to finish. They got participation from 21 of our Slicer athletic teams, as well as 11 LPHS clubs/departments. Many of these teams/clubs had designed a fun activity for the children of the community. A great time was had by all!
