LPVB wins 4th straight

The LaPorte volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-20 Duneland Athletic Conference victory at Merrillville on Thursday. Offensively, Avery Tulacz led the Slicers with eight kills, while Elizabeth Anglin adding seven. Madison Copeland (6), Tessa Koepke (5), Abbie DeLee (4) and Kaitlin Wilson (4) all contributed to the win. Anglin dished out a team-high 17 assists with Lilly Buckley adding 14 helpers. Defensively, Emma Hull tallied 19 digs to lead the way with Anglin adding 12. Tulacz had eight digs, while Buckley recorded seven and Mia Mendoza had six digs. At the net, Anglin, Koepke and Copeland had two block kills each. On the service line, Mendoza had five aces and Tulacz had four aces. In the junior varsity contest, the Slicers won 25-10, 25-10.
