Freshman vs Lowell Senior High School (16 - 34) Loss The Slicers took a tough loss to the Red Devils 34-16. LaPorte was able to force a fumble early on recovered by LaBerge but they could not cash in on it. The Slicers had some nice runs from Akins, Blash, and McCelos mixed with a few nice receptions. Kaiser was able to connect with Blash for a passing touchdowns late in the 4th. Alva was able to kick a nice onside kick recovered by Hartfert to give the Slicers another chance. Once again Kaiser was able to find Blash for their 2nd connection on the night for a score. McCelos was successful on both of the 2 pt conversions. The Slicers will start their push to make some noise in the DAC next week when they open at home against the Vikings at Kiwanis Stadium @6 pm.
