La Porte Varsity Softball defeated Lakeshore 2-3 at home thanks to big games from Juniors Mia Maxel and Jersey Worthington. Maxel started in the circle for La Porte and recorded 21 outs earning the win. Maxel gave up zero earned runs striking out eight over seven innings. Worthington put La Porte on the board with an RBI double in the bottom of the second inning. Worthington added two more runs with a home run in the fourth inning. The center fielder went 2-for-3 at the plate batting in all three La Porte runs.
