LaPorte Slicers open the conference schedule by sweeping a double header against Portage 12-0 and 4-0. Leading the Slicers on the day were Drew Catron with 2 hits and 1 RBI, Kai Jones with 3 hits and 2 RBIs and Gage Raymond with 1 hit and 4 RBIs. Cody Ryden got the win in the first game by going 6 innings and only giving up 1 hit while striking out 6 and walking none. Logan Hay got the win in the second game by going 6 innings giving up 2 hits, 1 walk and striking out 6. Slicers are 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in the DAC.
