LaPorte hosted the Hobart Brickies tonight, and won 128-56. Most of our boys did two incredibly difficult practices today, so our times were a bit off. Still, we have a long way to go before DACs and Sectionals, in order to achieve the consistency we need for a great finish to our season. The Slicers opened the meet going 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay behind: Jakob Schroeder (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). Roman Garay won the 200 Freestyle, with Chaise Adrian and Chase Childers going 2-3. Garay also won the 100 Freestyle. Garay has been working hard on his technique the past couple of weeks, and it showed tonight. His underwaters were much improved. Gavin Crail won the 200 Individual Medley, with Karter Griffin finishing second. Crail also won the 100 Breaststroke, with a near PR swim. Otto Wildhart won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Jake Schroeder finished a cloe second, with Karter Griffin finishing 3rd. Chaise Adrian won the 500 Freestyle. The Slicers won the 200 Freestyle Relay behind: Crail, Allen Fuller, Wildhart, and Adrian. Jakob Schroeder won the 100 Backstroke, with Diver/Swimmer Andrew Hayes finishing second. The Slicers finished the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay behind: Garay, Schroeder, Crail, and Hakim. LaPorte's record climbs to 11-2. They host Warsaw next Wednesday. The boys are looking forward to our traditional Winter Break crazy practice schedule, which begins this Friday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
