The Slicers hosted Mishawaka Marian and Jimtown this morning, and won 90-5 & 88-6 respectively. LaPorte outmanned and outgunned the Knights and Jimmies from the start, and winning every event along the way. Kudos go out to Jimtown and Marian for the effort and good sportsmanship. The closest anyone came to catching the Slicers was in the 100 Backstroke, where Jimtown's Alexander Hoogenboom finished a close second to LP's Gavin Crail. Crail, who was swimming off events today, had an excellent backstroke PR of 57.66. Crail can swim any event I put him in, so it's always fun to see how he does when we switch things up a bit. Winning for LaPorte were: 200 Medley Relay: Jakob Schroeder (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Gavin Crail (butterfly), and Allen Fuller (freestyle). 200 Freestyle & 500 Freestyle: Chaise Adrian 200 Individual Medley & 100 Breaststroke: Abbas Hakim Diving: Andrew Hayes 1st with 201.85 points, and Landon Corbett 2nd with another PR of 152.10. 50 & 100 Freestyle: Otto Wildhart 200 Freestyle Relay: Adrian, Hakim, Wildhart & Fuller 100 Butterfly & 100 Backstroke: Gavin Crail 400 Freestyle Relay: Adrian, Schroeder, Crail, & Wildhart The Slicers record climbs to 8-1, and they host the formidable Lake Central on Tuesday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
