The LaPorte Slicers Boys Swimming and Dive Team won a lopsided double dual meet vs the Lowell Devils 83-19, and Calumet New Tech High School 90-7. The Slicers finished 1-2 in nearly every event. We had some excellent swims today, but we still have a lot of minor technical issues to iron out before we take on powerhouses like Chesterton and Lake Central. Top finishers for LaPorte were: 200 Medley Relay: Jakob Schroeder (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). Chaise Adrian won both the 200 and 500 Freestyle events. Gavin Crail won both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke. Otto Wildhart won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Andrew Hayes won diving with a score of 206.28. Roman Garay won the 100 Freestyle. Jakob Schroeder won the 100 Backstroke. 200 Freestyle Relay: Allen Fuller, Hakim, Crail, and Wildhart. 400 Freestyle Relay: Adrian, Schroeder, Crail, and Hakim. Shoutouts to Karter Griffin for some great time drops, and to Landon Corbett for an excellent score on diving despite a recent injury.
