The LaPorte Slicer Wrestling team went 6-4 over the weekend at the RedHawk SuperDual. Junior, Landyn Hunt, and sophomore, Porter Ivankovig, both got their seasons off to a hot start going 9-1 in their first 10 matches. Senior Jackson Hague was able to defeat 8 of the 10 opponents over the weekend, making his record 8-2. Senior, Isaac Kleist, as well as junior, Wyatt Wellinksi, both were able to claim 7 wins out of their 10 matches making their records 7-3 a piece. Junior, Josh England, started the season out strong with a 5-0 performance over the weekend. The Slicers will take on the Crown Point Bulldogs in Crown Point on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
