La Porte Varsity Softball could not keep pace with Glenn Varsity Falcon 9-5 on Monday. La Porte got on the board in the first inning after Madi Squire singled, scoring one run. La Porte scored three runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to left field by Shayla Sorg. Kieanna Simpson stepped in the circle for La Porte. The hurler went three innings, giving up eight runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking four. Sorg provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led La Porte with three runs batted in. Squire went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead La Porte in hits.
