LaPorte Girls Swimming and Diving beat the Hobart Brickies 110-70 tonight. The Slicers stayed in the lead from the first event and extended it from there. After a tough two hours in the weight room this morning, they still have a bunch of PR's throughout. They opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with: Cali Hatala (backstroke), Grace Caviston (breaststroke), Noor Hakim (butterfly), and Isabel Barron (freestyle). Isabel Barron won both the 50 and 100 Freestyle events. Her margin of victory in the 100 Free was 8 seconds. Cali Hatala won the 200 Individual Medley, with Noor Hakim coming in a very close second. Hatala also won the 100 Backstroke. in the 100 Backstroke, Madi Griffin dropped 5 seconds to have a fantastic lifetime PR. Noor Hakim won the 100 Butterfly by 11 seconds. Grace Caviston won the 100 Breaststroke by 12 seconds. The Slicers finished the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Barron, Hatala, Caviston and Hakim. Their record climbs to 12-4. They'll continue to train hard all break and host Warsaw next year on January 3rd. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
