Slicers improve to 6-1 after win over Hanover Central

La Porte Boys Varsity basketball defeated Hanover Central at home, 60-49. The Slicers used a 24-9 first quarter to distance themselves from the visiting Wildcats. La Porte was led by Griffin Ott-Large with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Sawyer Tonagel added 15 points, 8 rebounds, while Destin Matzke & Timothy Knoll each chipped in 12 points for the 6-1 Slicers. La Porte has the next week off for Christmas but hosts the 4th Annual Steiner Homes Holiday Tournament on Dec 29 & Dec 30. La Porte opens with Gary Lighthouse (3-2) at 1:30 PM on 12/29.
