The Slicers hosted the Lake Central Indians, and lost 120-56. Lake Central was fast and deep, but the Slicers held their own in a lot of events, winning several. LaPorte opened the meet with a big win and season best time in the 200 Medley Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Cameron Hatala (breaststroke), James Quadlin (butterfly), and Carson Retseck (freestyle). The move of Quadlin, a breaststroke, to butterfly was the ticket for success. The Slicers won by 0.11 seconds! James Quadlin then came in a close second in the 200 Freestyle, with a season best time of 1:58.53. Carson Retseck won the 50 Freestyle by 0.11 seconds, showing that those hundredths really count. Roman Garay had a stellar meet winning both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. A big shoutout to freshman Aedan Bailey, who dropped over 10 seconds in his 100 Butterfly. Bailey had never swam butterfly until a couple of weeks ago, and is improving every day. The Slicers head to Highland on Thursday. Their record falls to 6-3. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
