Cougar Girls Cross Country Repeats as State Champions; Boys Finish Runner-Up

The Lansing Catholic cross country program capped off another historic season with an incredible showing at the MHSAA Division 3 State Finals at Michigan International Speedway. The girls team captured their second consecutive state championship, scoring 69 points and winning by more than 100 over the runner-up team. The Cougars placed four runners in the top 15, each earning All-State honors: Josie Bishop – 6th place Grace Wonch – 7th place Anna Drauer – 9th place Isabelle Currie – 14th place The boys team turned in a stellar performance as well, finishing 2nd in the state, just seven points shy of the title. Lucas Gates led the Cougars with a 32nd-place finish, backed by strong pack running throughout the lineup.
