Lansing Catholic senior Gavin Rabideau has been nominated for the Lansing State Journal’s Athlete of the Week after an impressive stretch that showcased his athletic versatility and leadership. Rabideau was instrumental in helping the Cougars capture the Division 3 District Soccer Championship, scoring a goal in the semifinal win over Eaton Rapids and adding two goals and an assist in the 3–2 victory over Lake Fenton in the final. Just a day later, Rabideau contributed to the Cougar football team’s 28–0 win over Ionia, converting four extra points as the team’s kicker. It was a remarkable week for a two-sport standout who continues to excel across the field, and now, he’s up for LSJ Athlete of the Week honors.
