Cougar Swimmers Shine Against #1-Ranked Williamston The Lansing Catholic girls swim team turned in an impressive performance Thursday night against Williamston, the #1-ranked team in their division. Despite the challenging competition, the Cougars posted several lifetime bests and strong relay finishes. Jozzlyn Post led the way with a 1st-place finish in the 500 Free and a 1st-place, lifetime-best swim in the 200 IM. She also contributed to both the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay, which each finished 3rd. Emma Grillo posted a lifetime best in the 100 Free, placing 4th, and added another 4th-place finish in the 100 Back. She also helped the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay to 3rd-place finishes. Bella Alaniz earned 5th in the 50 Free and 3rd in the 500 Free, while also contributing to the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay, which both placed 3rd. The Cougars’ performance against elite competition showcased their continued growth, depth, and competitive spirit as the season progresses.
