Cougars Fall to Williamston in Season Opener

Lansing Catholic kicked off the season Thursday, facing a tough Williamston squad on the road. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Cougars fell 46–14. On offense, G. Tackett finished with 48 passing yards (7/16) and delivered a key touchdown, while running back K. Mishler carried the ball 12 times for 68 yards. The Cougar defense logged a turnover on downs and forced a fumble. Williamston dictated the game early, racking up 420 total yards (260 rushing, 160 passing) and converting 80% of third downs, holding a 21–10 edge in first downs. Lansing Catholic now looks to regroup and sharpen its attack heading into the next matchup.
