Lansing Catholic senior Jayda Stowell has been nominated for Lansing State Journal Athlete of the Week following a memorable finish to her Cougar tennis career. A team captain and key contributor throughout her time at Lansing Catholic, Stowell helped lead the Cougars to another successful season, culminating in a strong performance at the MHSAA Division 3 State Finals. Competing at No. 3 doubles, Stowell and her partner advanced all the way to the state semifinals, where they battled the tournament's top-seeded team before falling in a competitive three-set match. Their run helped Lansing Catholic secure a 9th-place team finish against the state's top Division 3 programs. Stowell's impact on the program extended far beyond a single tournament.
