Cougars Sweep East Lansing, Improve to 19–2

The Lansing Catholic baseball team delivered another strong showing, sweeping a doubleheader against East Lansing 12–2 and 16–2 to improve to 19–2 on the season. The Cougars’ offense was firing throughout the day, with multiple players producing big performances while continuing the team’s balanced approach at the plate. Offensive Leaders Several Lansing Catholic hitters played key roles in the sweep. Anthony Branoff paced the offense with a standout day, going 4-for-7 at the plate with five RBI and four runs scored. His aggressive baserunning also created pressure for the defense, as he added three stolen bases. Noah Jungwirth had one of the most efficient performances of the day, finishing 4-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and four runs scored as he consistently reached base and helped fuel the Cougar offense. Ethan Link also made a major impact, going 3-for-7 with a double, four RBI, and two runs scored, while swiping two stolen bases. Watson Ferreri contributed two hits, two runs scored, and two RBI, while also drawing a walk to keep innings alive. Isaac Gallegos reached base in three plate appearances, finishing 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk.
