The varsity softball team from Lansing Catholic High School continued its dominant stretch with a doubleheader sweep of Lakewood High School, winning 14–4 in six innings and 12–1 in five innings. The Cougars’ offense was once again the story of the day, piling up hits and runs in both games to secure the mercy-rule victories. Avery Dunneback led the offensive charge with an outstanding performance at the plate, collecting five hits, four RBI, and six runs scored. She also powered three extra-base hits, including a double, triple, and home run. Sydney Convey added a strong day offensively with five hits, three RBI, and three runs, helping keep the Cougars’ lineup producing throughout the doubleheader.
