The softball team from Lansing Catholic High School continued its dominant season with a doubleheader sweep of Ionia High School, winning 15–3 in five innings and 18–1 in three innings. The Cougars’ offense powered both mercy-rule victories, producing big innings and consistent pressure at the plate throughout the day. With the sweep, Lansing Catholic improves to 12–0 overall and 8–0 in CAAC White play. Taylor Dunneback delivered a strong performance, recording four hits, five RBI, and five runs scored. Avery Dunneback had one of the biggest offensive days, finishing with four hits, five RBI, and six runs scored, including four extra-base hits with three triples and a home run. Zoey Gruber also led the attack with six hits, five RBI, and five runs scored, while collecting five extra-base hits including four doubles and a home run. Additional offensive production came from Austynn Arellano, who recorded four hits and five RBI including a double, and Alyssa LaConte, who added five hits and four RBI.
