Cougar Baseball Moves to 9–0 After Win Over Charlotte

The baseball team from Lansing Catholic High School continued its undefeated start with a 7–0 victory over Charlotte High School in Game 1 of a doubleheader. The second game was stopped due to darkness with Lansing Catholic trailing 10–9 in the bottom of the third inning. Jungwirth Dominant on the Mound Junior Elijah Jungwirth delivered another outstanding performance for the Cougars. He threw a strong outing in Game 1, striking out 12 batters to earn the win and improve his pitching record to 4–0. Jungwirth now holds a 0.85 ERA on the season. He also led the offense across the two games, going 4-for-6 at the plate with two doubles and a home run, his third of the year. Jungwirth drove in four runs and scored twice during the doubleheader. Strong Offensive Support Several Cougar hitters contributed key performances: Jason Boldman collected four hits in seven at-bats, including two doubles, while scoring three runs and adding an RBI. Ethan Link finished 3-for-7 with three RBIs and two runs scored, helping provide consistent production throughout the lineup. Isaac Gallegos added two hits in three at-bats, along with an RBI and a run scored.
