Girls Win Lansing Catholic Relays; Boys Finish Third

The Lansing Catholic track and field teams delivered strong performances at the Lansing Catholic Relays, with the Cougar girls winning the team title and the boys finishing third against strong competition. Several Lansing Catholic athletes and relay teams secured event victories, including two relay teams that posted state qualifying times. On the boys side, Leland VanAlstine captured the 110-meter hurdles title. The Cougar 4x800 relay team of Krumm, G. Richey, Demko, and Gates earned an event victory while also posting a state qualifying time. Lansing Catholic also won the MMR relay with the team of Krumm, Dillon, Demko, and Richey. The Cougar girls had multiple standout relay performances. The 4x800 relay team of Melinn, Ludwig, Bishop, and Wonch secured first place while also achieving a state qualifying time. Lansing Catholic also earned victories in the 4x400 relay with Melinn, Currie, Bishop, and Gates, the SMR relay with Melinn, Diehl, Obinwane, and Gates, and the MMR relay with Drauer, Miller, Bishop, and Ludwig. 📸: TCP Photography
