The Valkyries varsity girls lacrosse team battled throughout a competitive matchup but ultimately fell to Grand Ledge by a narrow margin of 11–10. The Valkyries offense produced a balanced scoring effort with several players contributing. Mia Armstrong led the attack with two goals and three assists, while Miley Green added three goals. Lansing Catholic’s Cara McDonald scored two goals, and teammate Viv Hagen added another. Sophie Johnson and Payton Veith each recorded a goal as well. Defensively, goalkeeper Katelyn Melling made seven saves to help keep the Valkyries within striking distance throughout the game. Despite the narrow loss, the Valkyries showed strong offensive production and team effort as they continue their season.
