The Lansing Catholic basketball program faced Everett across multiple levels this past week, giving the Cougars valuable early-season reps and moments of growth across freshman, JV, and varsity competition. At the varsity level, Lansing Catholic competed at the Moneyball Tip-Off Classic, where the Cougars were led by a strong offensive night from Zach Snitgen, who finished with 25 points and nine rebounds. Seth Hahnenberg added a physical presence on both ends of the floor with 10 points, six rebounds, and three blocks, anchoring the Cougars through stretches of high-intensity play. The tournament setting provided an important test as the team continues to define its identity early in the season. Junior varsity picked up a hard-earned win, showing composure and balance throughout the game. Sam Alvarado led the way with 11 points, while Isaac Gallegos and Chukwu Okeke Jr. contributed steady scoring and energy that helped the Cougars control the pace and close strong. The freshman squad continued to build experience against a physical Everett team, highlighted by a confident performance from Bishop Villarreal, who poured in 23 points. Joe Tennes and Daniel Otten added scoring support as the group continues to gain valuable experience that will pay dividends as the season progresses. Across all three levels, the week served as another step forward for Lansing Catholic. The Cougars remain focused on growth, and competing the right way as the season unfolds. 📸 Photo Credit: TCP Photography #LCHSBasketball #LCHSCougarNation
