Cougar Bowling Earns First Team Win of the Season at Ionia

Lansing Catholic Bowling traveled to Ionia for their first away match of the year, showing progress across all levels and celebrating the program’s first team win of the season. Varsity Boys fell 28–2 to a strong Ionia team. Points were earned by Quinn Lum and Nico Sinicropi, with Nico rolling the high game of 163. Varsity Girls, competing with only four bowlers, scored 2.5 points. – Izzy Horvath and Brooklyn Gorski each secured a point. – Louisa Blackledge earned a half-point after tying her opponent. All four bowlers improved between their first and second games, and Brooklyn posted the group’s high game with a 170. JV delivered the highlight of the night, jumping out to a 13–7 lead after two regular games behind PRs from Tony Gallegos and Nick Santelli. After dropping the first baker game, they rallied to win the second by four pins, closing out a 17–13 victory, the first team win of the season. Santelli paced the JV squad with a 124.
