Lake Central Edges Crown Point 1-0 to Advance to Regional Final The Lake Central boys’ soccer team continued its postseason run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Crown Point in the regional semifinal on Thursday night. The game’s lone goal came off a set piece, as George Karabatsos powered home a header from a corner kick to give the Indians the lead. From there, Lake Central’s defense held strong against a determined Crown Point attack. Goalkeeper Connor Billmeyer delivered one of the game’s biggest moments, making a clutch save on a penalty kick to preserve the shutout and secure the win for Lake Central.
