Varsity Softball--Lake Central 14 Valparaiso 1 The state ranked #1 and nationally ranked #23 Indians continued their impressive winning streak defeating DAC opponent Valparaiso on the road in convincing fashion. Sophia Calderaro remained unbeated on the mound. She struck out 11 and k'd 5. Five Indians had multi-hit performances: Kate Renschen, Bree Bracken (HR), MaKayla Van Vossen (HR), Jessy Del Toro (HR), and Maddie Wainright. Madi Bickell also homered in the win. LC heads south to Carmel for 3 tough games this weekend. JV Softball--Lake Central 16 Valparaiso 2 The JV continued their impressive play with a 16-2 victory over the Vikings. Teagan Tripp had 3 hits, drove in 3, and homered. Piper Urbanski and Olivia Hurubean also had 3 hits a piece. Abigail Grenchik had a homerun and 3 batted in while Peyton Martin had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Sophia Cembala earned the CG, 8 K victory.
