Varsity vs Jennings County High School (8 - 3) Win Varsity vs Pendleton Heights High School (6 - 1) Win Varsity vs Center Grove High School (8 - 2) Win Lake Central returned home from Indianapolis as the Horseshoe Classic Champions. En route to being the victors, LC defeated Jennings County, Pendleton Heights (the host), and perennial power Center Grove. Jennings County-- Maddie Such pitched a complete game and fanned 15. Makayla Van Vossen was the offensive hero with 4 hits, including a double and a HR. Madison Wainright and Kate Renschen both had a pair of hits. Center Grove-- Sofia Calderaro threw a complete game, scattering 9 hits and striking out 3. Kate Renschen had 3 hits all going for extra bases. Van Vossen and Kaitlyn Streiler had 2 hits. Pendleton Heights-- Calderaro threw a complete game, allowing just 4 hits and striking out 7. Van Vossen was the offensive leader with 4 hits, including a HR and a double. Izzy Calinski also homered. The Indians play Chesterton and Portage in DAC action this week and host their own classic this weekend.
