Varsity vs Munster High School (3 - 1) Win Junior Varsity vs Munster High School (16 - 5) Win Lake Central kicked off the softball season at rival Munster. Freshman Madison Such was elite on the mound striking out 7 and scattering just 3 hits over 5 innings pitched. Sofia Calderaro picked up where she left off last season earning the 2 inning save, striking out 3. Jolie Adams led the way offensively with 2 hits. Sophomore Makayla Van Vossen drove in 2 runs. The Indians will head to Penn next week for a rematch of last year's final four game. The junior varsity team defeated the Mustangs as they belted out 20 hits as a team. Tegan Tripp added 4 hits; Piper Urbanski added 3 hits out of the leadoff spot; Sofia Beals added 2 hits and a HR; and Olivia Hurubean had multiple hits and earned the win on the mound.
