Lake Central High School

The Lake Central Centralettes closed out the 2026 season in remarkable fashion, delivering a historic performance on one of the biggest stages at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis. This was after competing against some of the top programs in the nation, where the Centralettes captured three national gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze, cementing their reputation as one of the premier dance programs in the country. The incredible national showing was only part of an astonishing season. The Centralettes also added six state championships to their 2026 résumé, showcasing their commitment to excellence across every level of the program. The varsity squad dominated the state stage, sweeping all three divisions. The Varsity Jazz team claimed the State Championship while also earning Best Technique and Best Choreography, with choreography by Nyah Gonzalez. The Varsity Pom team followed suit, winning the State Championship along with Best Technique and Best Choreography, choreographed by T.J. Johnson. The Varsity Hip Hop team completed the varsity sweep, earning the State Championship and also capturing Best Technique and Best Choreography honors with choreography by Toya Renee Ambrose. The success continued with the junior varsity program, which proved just as dominant. The JV Jazz team captured a State Championship with choreography by Bri Lakomy. The JV Pom team added another title with choreography by Stephanie Raciak, and the JV Hip Hop team rounded out the sweep by earning the State Championship with choreography by Kenzie Sherry. Behind the medals and championships lies tons of dedication, practice hours, and passion from the athletes and staff. The Centralettes’ 2026 season will be remembered not only for its medal count, but for the teamwork, artistry, and pride that defined every performance along the way. Great job coaches and dancers.
