Saturday, May 6 Jaden Hart was bad news for opposing pitchers on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils past Castle Knights 12-2 on Saturday. Hart drove in runs on a double in the third and a single in the fifth. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the third inning. Lucas Blanton, Dakota Pitman, Lane Jaggers, Hart, and Brett Denby all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils fired up the offense in the first inning. Jaret Phillips's sac fly scored one run for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Blanton singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Pitman singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Jaggers drew a walk, scoring one run, Hart doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and Denby singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Cole Singleton earned the victory on the hill for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. The ace lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero. Hunter Flowers and Quinn Lemon entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Logan Bingham started the game for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. The bulldog allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils had 13 hits in the game. Hart, Blanton, and Ethan Durbin each managed multiple hits for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Hart went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils in hits.
