Monday, May 1 Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-1 loss to St. Xavier on Monday. St. Xavier scored on a single by Cooper Smith, a single by Jake Gregor, and a fielder's choice by Ben Breunig in the first inning. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils lost despite out-hitting St. Xavier seven to five. In the first inning, St. Xavier got their offense started when Smith singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Logan Bingham was on the hill for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Bingham allowed five hits and five runs over four innings, striking out one. Quinn Lemon threw two innings in relief. Ethan Durbin, Caiden White, Brett Denby, Jaden Hart, Dakota Pitman, Lane Jaggers, and Lucas Blanton each collected one hit to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils.
