Red Devils Rally Late to Pull Out Win

Tuesday, April 18 Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-4 victory over Fairdale on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils batting in the bottom of the sixth when Ryan Crawford grounded out, scoring one run. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils got things moving in the second inning. Dakota Pitman drove in one when Pitman singled. Lane Jaggers pitched Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils to victory. The ace surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out two. Hunter Flowers started the game for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. The hurler surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out six Townsend started the game for Fairdale. The hurler allowed seven hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils racked up ten hits on the day. Jaret Phillips, Brett Denby, Jaden Hart, and Caiden White each managed multiple hits for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. White, Hart, Denby, and Phillips each collected two hits to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Abe Vancampen had the most chances in the field with ten.
