Red Devil Comeback Falls Short

Saturday, April 15 Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-4 loss to Center Grove on Saturday. Center Grove fired up the offense in the second inning, when Smith doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Cole Singleton was on the mound for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. The bulldog surrendered six runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out four. Quinn Lemon and Hunter Flowers entered the game as relief, throwing four and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils collected nine hits on the day. Jaret Phillips and Kyle Campbell each had multiple hits for Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Campbell and Phillips all had two hits to lead Jeffersonville Varsity Red Devils. Jeffersonville returns to action Tuesday when they host Fairdale at 6pm at Don Poole Field.
