Stracener Receives AVCA Honors

Junior outside hitter Luke Stracener received high honors for his play from April 3 to April 9 from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as AVCA Player of the Week. During that period Luke helped guide the Red Devils to a 6-0 record with an incredible stat line to go along with the victories: Luke Stracener Jeffersonville High School (Jeffersonville, IN) 7 - 3 6'4, Junior, OH,MH Week of April 3 – April 9, 2023: 18 Games Played Stats Kills: 66 Kills/Game: 3.67 Digs: 38 Digs/Game: 2.11 Receptions: 61 Rcpt/Game: 3.39 Aces: 14 Blocks: 7 This is a great honor for Luke and our men's program, which is only halfway through its second season. Luke is the first player in the history of Jeffersonville High School to receive this distinguished recognition from the AVCA (men's or women's team). Jeff came up short 18-25, 26-28, and 10-25.
