There’s just something about postseason high school basketball in Indiana. Jeff’s matchup against Evansville Harrison at Southridge was no exception. Memorial Gymnasium witnessed a great game that came down to the wire. Jeffersonville came out firing early, led by Jeremy Rose, who knocked down multiple three pointers to help pad a quick Jeff lead. Harrison was not phased and helped dwindle multiple leads led by the sharpshooting of Eli Speer. The Red Devils headed into halftime with a three point lead, 35-32. The second half would turn out to be quite a wild ride. Jeff was able to sustain a lead much of the half until Harrison stormed ahead, taking a late lead but Jeffersonville was able to close the game on a 10-3 run and win, 70-65. Jeff had four scorers in double-figures: Michael Cooper led all with 20 points, Tre Singleton with 14 points, Jeremy Rose adding 12 points and P.J. Douglas added 10 points. Sophomore Elijah Cheeks finished with 9 points. Jeff still awaits their Semi-State destination and opponent as the draw is set to air at 3:00PM on Sunday, Match 10th.
