Jeffersonville Wrestling showcased remarkable performances at the IHSGW State Finals in Kokomo's historic Memorial Gymnasium. Senior Sian Rogers concluded her illustrious career with a 3rd place finish at 135 lbs, while Junior Kaylea Bauchamp also secured a podium spot, finishing 3rd at 140 lbs. Freshman Abi Lemon, in her first year as a wrestler, faced a tough challenge against the eventual State champion in the 125 lbs weight class. Unfortunately, our fourth qualifier, Aubrey Cummings, couldn't compete at 130 lbs due to injury but is determined to come back stronger next year. Both Sian and Kaylea earned Academic All-State honors, joining Jo Eimes and Lynn Padgett. In the overall team race, Jeffersonville Girls demonstrated their prowess by finishing in 10th place out of over 40 represented teams, setting the stage for future successes.
