The Lady Devil traveled to Bedford North Lawrence to face the 2023 State Champions. The first Hoosier Hill Conference game of the season. The Lady Devils came out with a strong start in the first quarter with a 7-2 run. The Stars were able to answer back to with a small run at the end of the first quarters. The Devils were on top leading 9-7 ending the first quarter. The start of the second quarter senior Elle Marble hit a quick 3, before the Stars went on a quick 18-9 run ending the second quarter up 25-21. Coming out of half time both teams came out ready to battle, unfortunately for the Lady Devils the Stars had an answer and outscored the Devils 9-6 ending the 3rd quarter the Stars were leading 34-27. Despite foul trouble the Lady Devils continued to battle coming out in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately the Lady Devils were unable to answer in the fourth quarter when the stars outscored them 20-17. Ending the game with a 54-44 loss. Sophomore Renee’ was the leading scorer with 15 for the Lady Devils. Followed by Senior Elle Marble with 10.
