The Red Devils boys tennis team faced off against #15 ranked Floyd Central in the semi-finals of the HHC tournament. Floyd came out of the gates with two solid wins at #1 and #2 singles. This pair from floyd has only lost a combined 4 times al year. This did not change how the Red Devils would battle. The three remaining courts were all still up in the air. Next the #1 doubles team of Ryan Crawford and Javier Gomez put on a great performance winning 6-4, 6-3. The #2 doubles team of Ben Eiten and Quinn Lemon had a rough first set, but came out hot in the second set racing out to a 4-2 lead. The floyd central pair however battled back taking the match 6-0, 6-4. The last match on was lone sophomore Teddy Burnette who battles hard and had the longest match of the night, ultimately falling 6-3, 6-3. The Red Devils have more home matches Thursday at 5:30 against #14 Jasper, and the Red Devils Senior Night match this Friday at 5:30. The Red Devils are now 4-6 in dual matches on the year.
