The Hillsboro High School track and field program wrapped up its 2026 season with a trip to Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City for the MSHSAA Class 4 State Track and Field Championships. Competing against the best talent across the state, our qualifying athletes represented Hillsboro with tremendous pride, gritty determination, and remarkable skill. All-State Javelin Honors for Jersey Robinson Highlighting the weekend's achievements was a magnificent, podium-finishing performance by Jersey Robinson in the Class 4 Girls Javelin. Robinson launched an impressive throw of 37.59 meters to secure 7th place in the state. By placing in the top eight, Jersey earned a coveted spot on the All-State podium, bringing home hardware and putting a brilliant exclamation point on her season. Ross Battles in the Hurdles, Gonzales Represents in Field Auston Ross (Hurdles): Auston faced a grueling double-event schedule on the track, qualifying for state in both hurdle disciplines. In the 110-meter hurdles, he ran a blazing 15.26 seconds, finishing just outside the finals bubble in a stellar 9th place statewide. He followed that up with a strong performance in the 300-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line at 41.49 seconds to earn a 13th place finish. Landon Gonzales (Javelin): Competing in the highly competitive Class 4 Boys Javelin, Landon proved he belongs among the state elite. He secured an 11th place finish with a highly competitive throw of 45.24 meters. Girls 4x800 Relay Takes the State Stage The distance program also showcased its strength on the big stage. The Girls 4x800 Meter Relay Team (Soleah Chavez, Kamri McGrath, Merynn Silhavy, Lyla Wright and Ella Sabourin (injury)) faced a fierce field of competitors in the Class 4 finals. Pushing through heavy fatigue and weather delays, the relay squad fought hard to clock a time of 10:36.85, wrapping up their season as the 16th best relay unit in the state of Missouri.
