Hillsboro High School is proud to announce that senior multi-sport standout Ashley Hilton has been selected as our school’s representative for the prestigious St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar-Athlete award. This honor is reserved for seniors who showcase excellence by excelling on a varsity athletic team while maintaining exemplary academic standing in the classroom. Ashley perfectly embodies the definition of a true student-athlete, balancing a rigorous academic schedule with elite, leadership-driven performances across two varsity sports. A Dominant Year on the Diamond and the Court Ashley’s 2025-26 campaigns solidified her as one of the most impactful athletes in Jefferson County: Softball Excellence: During the fall season, Ashley was a force both at the plate and in the circle. She led the Hawks with a phenomenal .487 batting average and a staggering .583 on-base percentage. On the mound, she anchored the pitching staff with a stellar 1.75 ERA and maintained a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage, proving herself as a premier Class 3 competitor. Basketball Leadership: On the court, the 5'8" senior small forward/guard capped off a historic career. Following a junior season where she secured Conference MVP and District Co-MVP honors, Ashley returned to lead the varsity basketball team as a primary scoring and defensive threat. She averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals per game, guiding the Hawks through a thrilling winter season. What makes Ashley truly special isn't just her stat lines; it is her character, work ethic, and ability to elevate those around her. Whether she is driving in runs, pitching a complete game, or locking down opponents on the hardwood, Ashley brings a competitive spirit that sets a gold standard for our younger Hawks.
