The Hillsboro R-3 wrestling program continues to cement its legacy as a top program in the state of Missouri. Following another strong regular season, our wrestlers traveled to Mizzou Arena for the MSHSAA State Championships, where they proved once again that Hawk Pride runs deep on the mats. The Hillsboro boys’ team showed incredible grit, led by three athletes who battled their way into the state finals. Tucker Williams, Carter Pryor, and Evan Litzsinger all delivered spectacular performances to secure 2nd Place finishes in their respective weight classes. They were joined on the podium by Caden Romaine, who earned a hard-fought 6th Place medal. We also want to recognize the dedication and skill of our additional state qualifiers who represented Hillsboro at the highest level: Brady Armstrong Brandon Bequette Gavyn Givens Griffin Morris Jack Hoven Jacob Schatzman Patrick (JR) Buttner The girls' program continues to build a solid foundation of success, sending three talented athletes to the state tournament this year. Highlighting the weekend was Nico Brooks, who put on a clinic to secure a 3rd Place state finish! We are equally proud of Elaine Hoth and Libby Deutsch-Terry for their outstanding seasons and for qualifying for the state championships. Congratulations to all our wrestlers, coaches, and families on a phenomenal season. Your hard work and sportsmanship continue to make Hillsboro R-3 a premier name in Missouri wrestling!
