Highlands High School

The State Finals were in Lexington this weekend. The boys finished 7th overall as a team. The girls finished 9th overall as a team, and combined the Bluebirds were STATE RUNNER-UPS!! The team set 3 new school records over the weekend as well! Here is a list of State Placers: Girls 400 Free Relay of Keira Kobida, Clare Herfel, Ragan Moore, and Sarah Jones were STAT RUNNER-UPS and set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD by over 3 seconds! Boys 200 Medley Relay of Luke Deegan, Griffin Barlow, Charlie Herfel, and Chantih Abeysinghe finished 4th Boys 400 Free Relay of Griffin Barlow, Charlie Herfel, Noah Gracey, and Chanith Abeysinghe finished 5th Girls 200 Medley Relay of Sarah Jones, Keira Kobida, Clare Herfel, and Ragan Moore finished 8th Boys 200 Free Relay of Charlie Herfel, Luke Deegan, Noah Gracey, and Chanith Abeysinghe finished 8th Girls 200 Free Relay of Keira Kobida, Addie Tinkler, Ella Kate Reynolds, and Eliana Niese finished 14th Griffin Barlow finished 6th in the 100 Fly NEW SCHOOL RECORD and 8th in the 100 breast Sarah Jones finished 7th in the 100 back with a NEW SCHOOL RECORD Clare Herfel finished 9th in the 500 free and 10th in the 200 free Addie Tinkler finished 9th in diving Luke Deegan finished 12th in the 200 IM and 16th in the 100 back Chanith Abeysinghe finished 13th in the 50 free Ragan Moore finished 14th in the 50 free and 15th in the 100 free Charlie Herfel finished 14th in the 500 free Noah Gracey finished 15th in the 100 fly Charlie Golden and Ella Kate Reynolds also swam some prelim relays to help qualify them to finals.
